Since 1989, Agrifood Technology has been a major provider of physical and chemical testing servicing the Australian grain, food (including manufactured and processed foods and fresh foods), and feed industries.
AWTA Ltd purchased Agrifood Technology from AWB Ltd in February 2008, the purchase positions Agrifood Technology to be the independent test house of choice for all participants in the grain industry. AWTA Ltd has adopted a policy of expanding its operations by diversifying into related testing markets. The purchase of Agrifood Technology continues this diversification into related areas where independent testing is a necessary part of the value chain.
Agrifood Technology test results provide valuable information for use in all areas of agribusiness.
Since this acquisition, Agrifood Technology has continued to diversify its testing capabilities and services to remain one of Australia’s major providers of physical and chemical testing to the grain, horticultural, food and feed industries. The acquisition of the laboratory in Queensland, coupled with expansion of testing capabilities has enabled Agrifood to expand its services and gain access to markets and customers at a national level.
Agrifood Technology is an independent, NATA accredited testing facility that operates in a competitive environment and is focused on providing accurate results and rapid response times to meet the needs of its customers.
Our laboratories in Derrimut, Werribee (Victoria), Bibra Lake (Western Australia) and Hemmant (Queensland) are well equipped to conduct comprehensive analysis on a diverse range of food and feed products, including grain quality, milling, dough rheology, end product assessment, nutritional labelling, allergen testing, pesticide residues, agro nutritional, mycotoxins and microbiological analysis. Ongoing investment in resources has been made to further enhance its testing capabilities through improved technology and expansion of NATA scope across all sites. This accreditation further enhances its ability to conduct a complete and comprehensive test package for key industry sectors across all three sites.
All laboratories are well supported by a highly experienced team of both technical, sales and administrative staff who are knowledgeable of industry requirement and are committed to the accurate and timely provision of results.
